Should I seal my tile and grout?Great question! If you have us install a natural stone, sealer is recommended due to its porous surface. Grout has come along way over the years. We only use grouts that have sealer integrated into the product itself.

What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tiles?Ceramic tiles are a clay based product with a glazed surface. While porcelain is also a clay product, it is blended with other natural materials at higher temperatures making it extremely dense and near impervious to water with an absorption rate of 0.5%. The overall choice for projects including showers and high traffic areas.

Are there any tile materials you recommend avoiding?That depends on the application. For example, a glossy finish is not recommended for high traffic areas or natural stone in areas with high moisture. We can recommend the best fit for your project. If you're not sure, best to consult an expert. Contact us for a free estimate.

Can you install tile over an existing tile floor?Yes, this is possible depending on the structure and overall condition of the existing tile floor.

What is the average lifetime of tile flooring?Ceramic tile floors can last a lifetime with proper installation and maintenance. Tile will not show wear marks like vinyl and wont squeak over time like hardwood. Making it the best choice for longevity.

Can tiles be installed outdoors?In some cases, tile can be suitable for exterior applications. In warmer climates and with proper installation, it's possible to get a good product. Here in the Northeast I do not recommend it due to the harsh winters and freeze/thaw cycles.

Do you do full bathroom remodels?Yes, in addition to demo and tile installation, we can also cover everything in between with our qualified sub contractors, catering to any bathroom project.

How do you handle waterproofing for bathrooms?We use Schluter Systems with bonded waterproofing and vapor-retardant membrane for all showers tubs and wet areas.

With daily clean up to keep the project clean and safe for everyone. Our team holds OSHA 30 certifications for project safety and Schluter Systems for waterproofing substrates, consistently exceeding industry standards. This ensures that every project not only achieves the highest standards of craftsmanship and durability but also adheres rigorously to safety protocols.

How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
